Beacon is a job-search tool: it watches company job boards you choose, scores new postings against your own stored profile, and helps you tailor documents and track your pipeline. This page explains what Beacon stores, how AI is used, and what never happens to your data.
Beacon is invite-only. Accounts are created through Supabase Auth via Apple, Google, LinkedIn, or email and password. Sign-up requires an approved access request — your email and requested-access status are the only things stored before you're approved.
Everything below is scoped to your account and only ever visible to you:
Beacon doesn't collect personal data about anyone but you. Postings are public job listings, not personal information about the people who posted them.
Fit analysis and document tailoring are powered by Anthropic's API. When you run a fit assessment or generate tailored documents, the relevant posting text and your own stored resume/work-history data are sent to Anthropic to produce a result. Nothing is fabricated to paper over a gap — generated content is grounded only in data you've entered yourself, never invented. Your data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train any model.
If you use commute-radius preferences, Beacon geocodes posting locations using Nominatim, OpenStreetMap's free public geocoding service. This requires no account or key on our end, and commute distance is only ever shown as a reference — it's never used to silently hide a posting from you.
Beacon never submits, autofills, or auto-applies to any job application on your behalf. It makes you faster; you send everything yourself. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics SDKs beyond what's needed to run the product.
You can request a copy or deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us — deleting your account removes your profile, resumes, work history, postings, scores, pipeline, and stored documents.
